Abstract:

The words, sentences, verses and Chapters of the Quran are uniquely and incomparably connected to each other. This connection is technically known as the Science of Qur’ani Correlation. Scholars believe that this particular branch of knowledge is of cardinal importance, high status and great virtue, since it showcases the different aspects of the miraculous nature of the Quran in a way that exceeds its eloquence and noble meaning to the arrangement of its verses and ultimate objectives. Besides, it is one of the best means that help have profound understanding of the meanings of the verses, unveiling the minor details about its connection and showcasing its subtle observations. It furthermore helps have a better understanding of the Quran and be fully aware of its rhetorical miraculous nature and style.

This is actually the main theme of this research where the researcher attempts to highlight the features and characteristics of this miraculous art. The study attempts thereby to showcase the significance of this science in highlighting the meanings of the verses of the Quran and its ultimate objectives through practical application on the Chapter of Al-Balad that, though not lengthy, highlighted a number of important topics like the happiness and misery of man, his methodology in choosing any of the two paths, his work in light of this selection, emphasis on man’s all-readiness and full freedom to choose either the good or the evil, and urging people to believe in Allah and His Messengers, charge them to show patience and mercy to each other, as well as doing all the other acts of good topped by the emancipation of slaves, giving food and looking after the orphans.

The researcher reaches the conclusion that the Chapter of Al-Balad is considered one integrated, thematic unit, as it meets all the requirements of the deliverance of the message, that is, the home of the message, the Messenger, the people to whom the Messenger is sent, the Message and people’s kinds as to response to the Messenger.
