Abstract:

Ethics represents the morals, principles and rules that a person acts upon, as they are legislations for the soul and the body. Ethics is a method for guiding man to the path of goodness and keeping him away from evil in this world and the bad consequences in the hereafter.

Therefore, ethics had a great role in achieving a society dominated by peace and harmony, pervaded by virtue and the virtues of customs. This research discusses the role of ethics in achieving societal peace in the light of the Qur’an and Sunnah (traditions) . It also shows that the Noble Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet have laid clear foundations for good morals, and measures, if applied, will achieve societal peace. It dealt with the foundations by which the Messenger of God حقق (PBUH) achieved societal peace in Medina upon his arrival there, despite the diversity of its inhabitants and the difference in their religion.

The research highlighted how the ethical system builds a society like a structure that strengthens each other in a system of psychological, family and societal peace.

The moral system is not only part of the general system of Islam, but morals are the essence of Islam and its spirit that runs in all its aspects.
