Abstract:

This research aims at the comparative and analytical study of two philosophers of this atheist current in the issue of existence, especially since this current has called for isolating man from his Creator and doubting his existence, and considering that Heidegger is considered one of the most representative and influential philosophers of existentialism in Germany, and on Sartre is undisputedly the most important existentialist philosopher, and his existential philosophical reflections are evident in all of his writings.

Research plan:

This research is divided into an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. Introduction: On the importance of the topic, the reasons for its selection, and the research plan for it.

The first topic: Defining existence and existentialism... It has two requirements: The first requirement: the definition of existence.

The second requirement: the definition of existentialism.

The second topic: Existentialism according to Heidegger...

It contains a preface and three demands:

The first requirement: introducing Heidegger (his life and writings).

The second requirement: being in the world - being with others - being for the sake of death.

The third requirement: Heidegger's nothingness and criticism, then a comment on the second topic and Heidegger's philosophy.

The third topic: Sartre’s existentialism... It contains a preface and three demands:

The first requirement: introducing Sartre (his life and writings).

The second requirement: being in the world and being with the other.

The third requirement: Sartre's concept of freedom, anxiety and need. Then a comment on the third topic and Sartre's philosophy. Then a comparison between Heidegger and Sartre in the question of existence.

Then the conclusion and includes the most important results that were extracted through the research.
