المستخلص [English] Abstract: |
This research paper is looking into the issue of examining a given narrator by means of mixing-up Hadith(s) -i.e mixing-up texts with isnads- so as to verify his veracity or his lack thereof. This is a very meticulous type of examination, which most of the grand scholars have undergone through different eras. It is true that the Grand Imam al-Bukhari is the most well-known when it comes to this matter, given the fame of the historical account of the Baghdad people mixing-up one hundred Hadith(s) to examine him. Nonetheless, this research paper demonstrates the fact that he was not the only one to undergo such examination . The final conclusions of this research are many, however the most important findings are : The narrators (al-muhadithin) extreme meticulousness is proven beyond doubt, as well as the rootedness of their methodology in verification and transmission, which meant they never accepted the authority of any text which was not thoroughly verified. This in turn responds to, refutes and debunks the opinions of anyone in any era who attempts to discredit the Prophetic Traditions (as-Sunnah an-Nabawyyiah- especially those who cast baseless doubts and make uncorroborated claims without any proof, despite the fact that claims cannot be considered proofs, rather claims need to be proven. I was invited to write about it for a number of reasons, including: 1- I did not find anyone - as far as I know - who devoted it to a single study. 2- Tracing the names of the scholars and imams with whom this kind of test took place, except for Imam al-Fahl Abi Abdullah al-Bukhari. 3- Uncovering the more carefulness of the modernists in criticizing the narrations, and their precaution in the narration, and the transmission of news. It has taken the inductive-analytical method. And I made it into an introduction - which is that - and three sections: The first topic: the narrator’s test is a way to know his control. The second topic: The heart of the hadiths for testing and examination. The third topic: the imams and narrators with whom this type of test occurred. It ended with a conclusion stating the most important results. |
