Abstract:

This research is about verses of submissiveness in the Holy Quran, and it depends on the objective study approach of the Qur'anic term which is well known in Qur'anic studies. In the first section, I have mentioned a summary of what the people of the language decided in the meaning of submissiveness. In the second section, I have clarified the difference between submissiveness and similar words like abidance and meekness. In the third section, I have mentioned the meanings of submissiveness which are referred to in Quran according to the people of Meanings and similarities (الوجوه والنظائر) and some exegetists, I also followed them and clarified what in them by comparing them to the linguistic meaning intended in the first section. In the fourth and last section, I have studied these verses by following the objective study by counting formulas and derivatives of submissiveness in the Holy Quran and mentioning its locations in details. Then I mentioned the assignee in submissiveness verses, and I spoke about the Qur'anic use of the word (خ ش ع) which is ongoing between truth, mental allegory, metaphor, likening, and metonymy. I have concluded this study with a clarification of the relationship between the Qur'anic use of the word (خ ش ع) and its relation with the linguistic meaning intended in the first section. Finally, I have concluded this research by mentioning sources, references and general indexes.
