This research identifies Ka’ab Bin Malek’s children, grandchildren, and grand grandchildren who narrated the prophet’s sayings and traditions (Hadeeths) providing biographical information about each of them. It also sheds light on their standing in such industry in terms of the of their character caliber according to the criteria of the approach known as impeachment and amendment; the paper also investigates how inclusive Imam Ahmad’s pronouncement in their regard that all of Ka’ab Bin Malek’s family are trustworthy. I applied both the inductive and deductive approaches and reached the following conclusions: the first stratum of Ka’ab Bin Malek’s children, one of whom a prophet’s companion, are all trustworthy. As regards his grandchildren, there is the trustworthy and the weak, as well as the unknown whose character caliber is not known. In his grand grandchildren figure only the weak and the unknown. The study concludes that Imam Ahmad’s pronouncement is not absolute and makes the following recommendations: identifying the Hadeeth narration criteria that are intended to be comprehensive in terms of character caliber scrutiny and looking into how comprehensive they are.
