This paper aimed to investigate the words of Imam Ahmad: “Three books have no foundations "Al-Maghazi (The Battles), Al-Malahim (The Epics) and Al-Tafseer (The Interpretation)": An analytical Hadithi study. The paper reports the definitions of battles, epics and interpretation highlighting the extent to which what attributed to Imam Ahmed is true. The paper revealed that older and recent scholars has provided precise instructions to these words of Imam Ahmed. Some of them reported that Imam Ahmed has read these books in this era and “have no foundations” generally means their weakness with regard to what is known about Hadith scholars in this period of time. They also added that documenting Hadith of laws and doctrines is totally different from that of the three given sciences as scholars might disregard things in these sciences rather than others. The paper highlighted that the prominent figures of Al-Maghazi Science are Musa bin Okba and Orwa bin Elzobair, of Al-Malahim are Abi Amr Aldani and Ibn Katheer, and of Altafseer are Ibn Abbas and Ibn Masoud (May Allah Pleased with Them). The paper also highlighted that the three sciences have true hadiths that are reported in Alsahihain and other sunnah books. Due the imprtance of such three sciences, Hadith scholars have reported them in the books of terms and Hadith sciences.
